Growing in Faith
Nurturing hearts, minds, and spirits through Catholic education.
Religious Education at STC
At St Theresa’s Convent School, faith is woven into every aspect of school life. As a Holy Family Catholic Independent School, Religious Education forms an integral part of our curriculum from Grade 00 to Grade 7, helping learners grow spiritually while developing a deeper understanding of Catholic teachings and values.
In the Foundation Phase, Religious Education is taught by the class teacher under the guidance of our Religious Education Co-ordinator. From Grade 4 to Grade 7, lessons are taught by our Religious Education Co-ordinator, ensuring continuity and a meaningful progression of learning throughout the school.

Faith in Action
Prayer

Each school day begins and ends with prayer, encouraging learners to place God at the centre of their daily lives.
Mass & Liturgies

Learners participate in Opening and Closing Masses each term, together with special liturgical celebrations throughout the Church’s calendar.
Religious Education

Weekly Religious Education lessons help learners deepen their understanding of Scripture, Catholic traditions, Gospel values, and their relationship with God.
Outreach & Service

Learners are encouraged to live out their faith through acts of service and outreach, developing compassion, generosity, and a commitment to caring for others.
Forming Hearts and Minds
At St Theresa’s Convent School, we believe that education extends beyond academic achievement. Faith-based education helps shape the character of every learner, nurturing integrity, kindness, resilience, empathy, and a sense of purpose.
Guided by Gospel values, we encourage learners to grow into compassionate and responsible young people who serve others with love, seek truth with confidence, and strive to make a positive difference in their families, communities, and the wider world.
